Using a Roof Hook for Outdoor Adventures

The roof hook is a true all-purpose tool for outdoor adventures. It looks like a piece of metal with a hook, but don't underestimate it. One of the biggest frustrations of outdoor adventures is finding a place to hang your gear, leaving the tent cluttered and messy. This is where the roof hook comes in handy. For example, when camping on a rock face, use it to hang your backpack, headlamp, and even water bottle, saving space and keeping moisture out.

It's even more indispensable when climbing. Sudden rain while climbing? Simply pull out the roof hook, shove it into a crack in the rock, and hang your raincoat from it, and you have a makeshift shelter. Some experienced users even use them as simple traps for small animals, but this depends on local regulations.
